You can return or exchange unwanted items within 35 days of purchase with a valid receipt or parcel summary document. If your receipt or parcel summary document has expired or has been lost, we will offer you a credit receipt or exchange to the value of the last known selling price.

You can return them to our store or you can return your item by post. If you return goods because they were ordered incorrectly you will pay the return postage costs. If you would like us to replace the goods with another size or colour, we will charge carriage on the replacement. If you return an item because it was faulty when it was delivered, we will refund your postage costs for returning it to us. We may require proof that the item was signed for as damaged on arrival.

Please check with us before returning any goods as we will only refund the basic postage charge. Please note that items must be returned in their original packaging and in a re-saleable condition.

The following items are excluded from our "goodwill" returns policy: Gift cards, beauty, food, earrings, plants. These products can only be returned in accordance with your legal rights (for example, if they are not fit for purpose or not as described).

Returns can be made via:

  • Courier: Please call us on 01375 372195 or email to arrange the return. Please include or have the following details ready. order number, stock number, reason for return and whether you would like a refund or a replacement. We will then be able to provide you with the correct information for returning the product.
  • In store: at Smiths Orchard Garden Centre, 70 Chadwell Road, Grays, Essex, RM17 5SY. Bring your delivery note or order confirmation and the product you wish to return or exchange to the store where our team will help you.
